Shane 'Contributions'

Shane D’Allessandro is an emerging visual artist of Jamaican & Italian heritage, born in Greenwich, London, who spent his formative years in Suffolk, England.

Having exhibited flair for the arts at an early age, it’s been a constant outlet of expression in some capacity, be it quick sketches or graphite portrait studies.

After graduating from Loughborough University and spending four years splitting time between Australia and New Zealand, Shane returned to England with a view to start taking his artwork seriously. Whilst working full time and squeezing in painting sessions on the weekends, he has finally been able to put together the foundations for a series of work.

Shane draws inspiration from surrealist works where ideas of context and reality are often challenged. These concepts helped lead him away from graphite portraiture and triggered an interest in exploring impressionist style painting which allows a more free and expressive technique.
